Job Description:

**We require all applicants to submit a portfolio of their graphic design work and writing samples for consideration.**

Role:

The Marketing Associate is responsible for assisting the marketing department in day-to-day efforts to attract new members, enhance member relationships and meet organizational sales and strategic goals. This position will actively contribute to advancing the Credit Union by developing creative written and visual content for all marketing channels, managing internal and external events and sponsorships, developing member education content, and some social media monitoring.

This position plays a vital role and is instrumental in creating content and community engagement to achieve the Credit Union's goals related to products, services, and reputation. This person must be well rounded and able to regularly adapt to manage priorities and deadlines. A high attention to detail is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • With guidance, develop creative and written content for each channel, including, but not limited to: email, online banking, ATMs, branch video and audio, printed ads, radio commercials, and website. Ensure compliance standards are met.
  • Handle all Family Trust's community events, sponsorships, scholarships, and grant submissions.
  • Maintain monthly statements, branch video and audio systems, and ATM signage.
  • Serve as branch liaison and attend branch sales meeting regularly to give marketing updates. Provide internal updates on marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor social platforms and respond to comments and messages. Create social posts, as needed.

      Knowledge and Skills:

      Experience: 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in creative writing, graphic design and event management.

      Education: High school diploma. A higher degree is a plus

      Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job; Comfortably work/communicate with people at all levels with the organization; Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Strong listening, verbal and written communication and technology skills are required.

      Skills: Deadline driven with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects at once, seek solutions to problems, and to make decisions that are consistent with credit union brand. Excellent initiative and resourceful thought process. Excellent time management and project management skills. Passion for the ever-evolving marketing landscape. Creative thinker who can brainstorm innovative ideas/strategies to support brand initiatives. Quick learner, logical thinker and team player. Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite or comparable graphic design software. Attentiveness to detail in copywriting, grammar, and proofreading.

      Physical Requirements: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

      Work Environment: Hybrid work schedule
