report to the Project Manager /nJob Overview/n As a Fire Alarm and
Security Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the
safety and security of individuals and properties by installing,
maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm and security systems.
Your responsibilities will involve working with cutting-edge
technology to design, install, and maintain systems that protect
against fire hazards and unauthorized access. /n Responsibilities
and Duties/n /n /n 1. Installation and Maintenance /n /n - Install
and program fire alarm and security systems in residential,
commercial, and industrial settings. /n - Conduct routine
inspections and maintenance to ensure systems are operating at
optimal levels. /n - Troubleshoot and repair any technical issues
or malfunctions promptly. /n /n /n 1. System Design /n /n -
Collaborate with clients and team members to design customized fire
alarm and security solutions tailored to the specific needs of each
location. /n - Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan the
placement and wiring of systems. /n /n /n 1. Testing and
Verification /n /n - Conduct thorough testing of installed systems
to ensure they meet safety and security standards. /n - Verify that
all components, including sensors, alarms, and communication
systems, are functioning correctly. /n /n /n 1. Compliance and
Documentation /n /n - Stay up to date with relevant industry codes,
regulations, and standards. /n - Document all installation,
maintenance, and testing activities in accordance with company and
regulatory requirements. /n /n /n 1. Customer Interaction /n /n -
Communicate with clients to understand their safety and security
needs. /n - Provide training to end-users on the proper use and
maintenance of fire alarm and security systems. /n /n /n 1.
Emergency Response /n /n - Respond promptly to emergency service
calls and troubleshoot issues in real-time. /n - Collaborate with
emergency services personnel as needed. /n /n Qualifications and
Skills /n - High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical
certifications preferred. /n - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in
Fire Alarm and Security or a related field. NICET Certification is
a plus. /n - Knowledge of fire NFPA and NEC codes, security
protocols, and industry standards. /n - Proficient in reading
blueprints and technical manuals. /n - Strong troubleshooting and
problem-solving skills. /n - Excellent communication and customer
service abilities. /n - Ability to work independently or as part of
