Job Description Job Description Mechanical Estimator Job Title: Project Manager Location: Greenville, SC Salary Rate: $80,000 - $150,000 Position Summary: My client is a leader in the MEP construction space, providing reliable support and installation for HVAC, Electrical & Plumbing, Commercial, Industrial, and Residential Construction projects. We are looking for a skilled estimator who has experience estimating mechanical construction projects. If that sounds like you, please apply. Responsibilities Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to produce accurate and detailed cost estimates. Determine material quantities, labor requirements, equipment needs, and subcontractor costs for mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing. Develop and submit competitive bid proposals for industrial and commercial projects. Assess, price, and document change orders, design revisions, and scope modifications. Partner with Project Managers and Assistant PMs to refine estimates and support proposal strategy and development. Maintain and update cost databases, vendor pricing records, and historical project data to ensure accurate forecasting. Participate in pre bid meetings, site evaluations, and client presentations as required. Required Qualifications At least 7 years of mechanical estimating experience within industrial, construction, or MEP environments. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction practices, and applicable industry standards. Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Trimble, Quote Soft, or comparable tools. Exceptional analytical and problem solving capabilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team focused environment.
