Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A Special Education teaching opportunity is available
within a school district in Lexington County, South Carolina,
starting August 7, 2024, through May 28, 2025. This full-time
contract position offers 35 to 40 hours per week with placements
across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Assigned
positions include resource and self-contained classrooms for
students with learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, and
other special education needs. Elementary school hours are
typically 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., middle school from 8:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m., and high school from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The caseload
will focus on supporting school-age children within these special
education settings. Qualified candidates must hold a valid Special
Education license and a teaching certificate with endorsements in
Learning Disabilities or Multicategorical Special Education.
Experience working with diverse student populations in resource or
self-contained classrooms is highly desired. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with
special needs - Manage classroom environments in resource or
self-contained settings - Collaborate with school staff to develop
and implement IEPs - Monitor student progress and maintain accurate
records - Engage effectively with families and support staff
