Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a
large manufacturing company. This candidate is responsible for
developing and verifying process prints for new orders to comply
with the Product Engineering teams product drawings. Drawings are
developed using Creo software and ADAPT programs. This candidate
will be responsible for creating Process Print packages for new
bearing designs. Successful candidates will be able to work
independently as this job requires independent evaluation,
application, and selection of currently accepted Engineering tool &
gauge design practices. Other responsibilities include but are not
limited to: Providing the plant with support on Lean projects for
process improvements and shop floor engineering. Leading projects
in cost reduction, tooling management and tooling cost control.
Overseas tooling supply chain management may be required. Assisting
the plant in all areas of manufacturing - requires communication &
coordination with Product Managers, Plant Management, Operations,
Quality Control and Supply Chain. Clarifying process print
calculations and layouts for other associates. Acting as an
engineering support resource for other plants, when neededBearing
experience Turning and grindingAssociates Degree in Engineering
with 10 years of relevant experience Bachelors Degree in
Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience Masters degree in
Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience Engineering
techniques (UniGraphics, ProE, Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and
SAP). Problem-solving technical problems - product changes for
Design for Manufacturability and complex technical problems.
Project management experience managing technical projects.
Understanding of manufacturing processes in heavy industry:
turning, milling, grinding, heat treating, and assembly.
