General Job Duties: • SAFETY • HSE requirements satisfied • Complete all documentation / deployment for Incidents • Drive safety culture within team • QUALITY • Closely monitor quality levels and root cause and correct any maintenance related non-conformances • PRODUCTIVITY • Closely monitor equipment availability levels, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues • Continually work to understand the customer’s requirements in terms of quality and delivery • Create and drive actions to cross functional team members • Develop, Implement, and evaluate continuous improvement plans • COMMUNICATION • Communicate openly with colleagues and hierarchy • Escalate properly when equipment is unavailable per guidelines • Immediately communicate with his/her managers in case of any process deviations, problems, incidents • OTHER • To exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude • To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment. • To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement. • To follow OPmobility policies and display conduct expected of OPmobility employees as described in the employee handbook. • To follow safety rules of OPmobility and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe workplace. • To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of OPmobility. • To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions. Specific Job Duties: • Continuously improve automated and other equipment by developing and implementing plans and projects to revise controls, logic, processes, maintenance plans, mechanical devices, and other equipment components • increase reliability, safety, and/or capacity • reduce overall operational costs • Provide support as needed to the plant maintenance technicians and staff for the operation and maintenance of all automated equipment to the extent that all KPI targets are met • Coordinate all technical activity and maintain accurate records pertaining to automated equipment, including but not restricted to software backups, board revisions, software revisions, ladder logic, documentation and all associated interfaces • Develop, coordinate, and provide training for the plant maintenance team and other personnel regarding the design intent, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming of the automated equipment • Create and communicate work instructions for various tasks as they pertain to the operation, troubleshooting, and upkeep of the automated equipment • Continuously review and consider new technologies as they apply to OPmobility. Present recommendations as to their benefits along with feasibility and justification for such technologies • Provide automation support as required as it applies to all other aspects of the current and any future systems • Work autonomously – develop, communicate, and integrate improvements • Occasional travel for training as needed, seldom more than one week at a time. • Perform other duties as directed. • Provide regular progress reports for projects Skills and Experience: • Allen Bradley PLC equipment – Studio 5000 and ControlLogix (hardware, software and ladder logic). • HMI software packages - RS logics, Wonderware 8, PanelView 32 and Plus, WinCC • Fanuc, Kuka, and ABB robotics • Siemens S7, TIA Portal, WinCC • Field bus: Controlnet, Modbus, Profibus • Integration to injection machines (Husky, Engel, and Kraus) • Allen Bradley, Siemens, Pilz, Keyence, SICK, and Omron safety controls and devices • SEW, Siemens, Eaton, ABB VFDs • PC skills, MS applications • Automotive Assembly, Injection, and Paint a plus • Experience reading hydraulic and pneumatic prints preferred • Must be skilled at reading electrical and electronic schematics • Must have demonstrated project and continuous improvement experience. • Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills required.
