Sterile Processing Tech Location: Simpsonville, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,283 per week Shift Information: Nights - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 5 (21:00 - 05:30) Experience: 2 years License: Required Certificate: iAHCSMM/HSPA Certifications: Required Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field - Ability to float to other units or campuses as needed - Experience with acute hospital OR, chemical agents for decontamination, disinfectants, manual cleaning, proper labeling, ultrasonic cleaner, use of washers/sterilizers, and aseptic technique - Skills in organizing trays, placing instruments on trays, proper selection of wrapping materials, sterilization wrapping procedures, sets/trays assembly, equipment documentation, and specialized fields including bariatrics, general, laparoscopic, orthopedics - Knowledge in biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, Steris testing/monitoring, Sterrad testing/monitoring, sterile processing microsystem, immediate-use steam sterilization, loaner consignment trays, and implants Description: Shifts are 5x8 from 21:00 to 05:30. Call may be required and floating is necessary if needed. This is an 8-week contract position. Scrubs will be provided. The unit will review first-time travelers based on experience. Travelers must have documented competencies for floating to ensure they are qualified for the tasks. This role requires maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sterilization for surgical instruments. The individual will be responsible for the preparation and sterilization of surgical equipment and instrumentation. A strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards is essential. Candidates must possess effective communication skills to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Understanding and following protocols for decontamination and sterilization is mandatory.
