Job Description:

We are looking for an experience Quality Manager who will be responsible for the overall quality program in our manufacturing facility who will be responsible for teams performing raw material testing, finished product testing, mix designs and manufacturing process and procedures. This Manager will lead/manage a small team of Quality Control professionals/Quality Technicians who will be performing the thorough Investigation of non-conforming results, and timely execution of root cause analysis via the testing of samples to support manufacturing, product release and on time stability testing. This Manager will also:Directly Lead/Manage department budgets, various metrics and will be the 'point person' with regards to the identification, analysis and implementation of continuous improvement projects. As the Quality/QC leader, you will lead both the day to day activities and bigger-picture, strategic changes and initiatives in the QC organization to ensure compliance, drive improvements plant and organization-wide, achieve production, delivery and quality control testing schedule adherence. This role will be responsible for the DAY TO DAY and the STRATEGIC supervision of the plant's quality systems and efforts. ON a day to day level, you will lead/supervise:---> Daily inspections of in process/finished products to ensure quality control---> Approve schedules, perform employee evaluations, team budgeting and planning, and assist in timecards, hiring, onboarding, etc.---> Work in conjunction with other teams throughout the plant/company to share real-time data and results to help keep all teams apprised of current results, challenges and opportunities. ON a more BIG PICTURE and STRATEGIC PLANNING level, you will lead/supervise:---> Comprehensive, timely and thorough investigations of deviations to identify root causes and corrective and preventive actions.---> Identify opportunities for time/waste reduction, initiate and implement studies and investigations to determine ROOT CAUSES of various quality concerns and gaps in targets.---> Help to supervise Lean Manufacturing, Process controls, and other continuous improvement projects. We are looking for a senior candidate, with previous departmental management experience and expertise. ---> Ideal candidates will bring a Bachelors Degree with a manufacturing, industrial or other Engineering centric, if not QUALITY SPECIFIC focus---> AT LEAST 5+ years of applicable experience in plant Quality Leadership experience, with both previous hands on, and progressive leadership and team direction experience under their belt.---> Experience with Continuous Improvements, Process engineering and other similar Quality Systems oriented work background, such as Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.---> Good knowledge of OSHA regulations, Must be safety conscious, and committed to fostering and supporting a culture of both QUALITY and SAFETY.---> Excellent interpersonal an communication skills and abilities and a "SOFT TOUCH" ability to identify Quality Concerns and to share opportunities for improvement without coming across as POINTING THE FINGER of blame.....an understanding that Quality is the focus for ALL TEAMS.---> SELF DRIVEN, with a set of organizational and management of people skills.---> Must be able to to use MS OFFICE, including WORD, EXCEL and other tools.
