Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experience Shipping/Receiving Manger to manage a department/team at our manufacturing operation in the Rock Hill, SC area.

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the Planning, coordination and supervision, of the daily activities of the Shipping Department, starting with the scheduling employees work hours to maximize loading efficiencies and minimize overtime, as well as the following, listed below!

Role

Some of the specific areas of focus, for this role, will include responsibility for assuring the Shipping Department objectives are met by performing the following

" Generating all "Pick" tickets making all amendments/adjustments, as required.

" Preparation for payment of Freight Bills/Delivery Notes.

" All goods issued are posted correctly.

" Pallet returns are processed, promptly.

" Designate yard location/layout for finished goods

" Responsible for the receipt and records of all materials, i.e., raw, packaging, resale, machinery, maintenance, etc., delivered to the facility.

Other Duties Will Include

" Responsible for conducting and reconciling Monthly Inventories of Finished Goods, Hand Specials, Resale Items and Wooden Pallets.

" Supervise all data entry for Inventory Control Management to maintain accurate Finished Goods Inventory.

" Responsible for the Inspection of all loaded trucks to assure shipments conform to the shipping documents and meet all Company's Quality Specifications, prior to shipping.

" Ensure good housekeeping practices are being conducted daily within areas of responsibility.

" Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure the department is in compliance with both "OSHA" and Company's Safety Standards.

" Ensure Shipping Department's mobile equipment is maintained daily.

" Inspect returned material to insure material qualifies as an acceptable return prior to issuing credit.

" Coordinate shipments of the plant's waste materials, as warranted.

" Plan and coordinate the daily activities of the pallet repair crew. Responsible to maintain adequate levels of pallet repair materials.

" Maintain environmental permits, training, reporting and inspections

Candidate Experience Desired
Education: We would prefer to see candidates that bring a Bachelors or equivalent experience.
Experience: At least 7+yrs prior experience working in a similar role
Experience leading a shipping department at/within a manufacturing/production facility is a must.
Strict adherence to OSHA/Safety Regulations and an ability to lead/inspire teams to foster a SAFETY CONSCIOUS team focus desired.
Excellent interpersonal, Presentation Skills, Leadership/Motivational skills, and an ability to drive projects/manage projects effectively.
Experience implementing or leading Lean processes
Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
Comfortable/daily use experience with IT systems, including knowledge/experience with MS Office, SAP highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to drive and manage safety culture
Ability to lift up to 50lbs (max) occasionally

"Previous experience in Building materials/Products, Concrete products, or other similar/applicable materials manufacturing, will be considered a plus.
