on weekends will make you eligible for shift differential. To be
eligible for shift differentials you must work 4 hours into the
shift time to get the differentials (Monday - Thursday 3p 11p =
$4.50 per hour and 11p-7a = $4.75, Friday - Sunday 11p - 7a = $7.00
per hour, or Saturday Sunday 7a 3p = $6.00 per hour and 3p 11p =

Previous Stork Experience, and Level 2 Nursery experience is
required.Newborn Care:Assessment: Stork nurses assess the health
and well-being of newborns in the transition period immediately
following birth by, monitoring vital signs, performing initial
exams, and identifying any potential issues.Care: They provide
essential newborn care, including bathing, feeding, and diapering,
as well as assisting with procedures like administering medications
or injections.Support: They offer emotional support and guidance to
parents, helping them with breastfeeding, bonding, and
understanding their baby's needs.Education: Stork nurses educate
parents about newborn care, safety, and common concerns, empowering
them to provide optimal care for their babies.Maternal
Care:Postpartum Support: They assist mothers with their postpartum
recovery, monitoring their vital signs, managing pain, and
addressing any complications.Breastfeeding Support: Stork nurses
provide guidance and support to mothers who are breastfeeding,
helping them troubleshoot any challenges and promoting successful
lactation.Collaboration: They collaborate with other healthcare
professionals, such as physicians, midwives, and lactation
consultants, to ensure comprehensive care for both mother and
baby.Other Responsibilities:Documentation: Stork nurses maintain
accurate and detailed records of their patient's care, including
assessments, interventions, and outcomes.Safety: They ensure a safe
and clean environment for both mothers and newborns, adhering to
strict infection control protocols.Teamwork: They work
collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to
provide optimal care.Additional Job DescriptionMinimum Training and
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor
of Nursing degree is preferred.Required Licensure, Certifications,
Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina
Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support
(BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.If you
