Job Title: CVOR Surgical Tech Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 1-2 years of OR experience License: National certification preferred Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience to scrub in cases such as Orthopedics, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General, Urology, Robotic, GYN, Colon, Breast, Spine, Podiatry, and Plastic surgeries. Description: We are seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech to join our team. The operating room consists of 13 operating rooms plus one procedure room. We perform an average of 45 cases per day. The primary patient types include Cardiothoracic and Vascular cases. Common diagnoses include CABG, AVR, MVR, fistula creations, carotid revascularization, and hybrid cases. Support staff includes six OR assistants and charge nurses. Anesthesia is available 24/7. The facility utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records. IV pumps and medication dispensing are managed with Alaris and Omnicell. There are no floating requirements specified. Scheduling involves a weekend rotation based on staffing needs. Call rotations will require a response time of 30 minutes. Holiday coverage is part of the call rotation for travelers. Shifts primarily occur from 7 AM to 7 PM, with some variations. The scheduling cycle is every six weeks. Scrub colors will be provided.
