Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: Charge Nurse experience required Description: The position requires an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Shift options include 4x12-hour shifts or 3x12-hour shifts. The night shift runs from 7 PM to 7 AM. Nurses will have ratios based on patient acuity. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Floating between like units or sister facilities may be necessary to meet facility needs. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. Approval will be based on facility requirements. The hospital serves a diverse patient population with various care needs. Daily patient visits typically reach around 80. The unit consists of 27 rooms to accommodate patients. Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Nurses should be prepared for potential assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
