Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Monroe, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,766 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 18 months Med/Tele RN experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac skills, telemetry reading knowledge, general Med-Surg RN skills Description: Seeking a registered nurse for MedSurg/Tele. The facility has 174 licensed beds and is a teaching hospital. The unit has 44 beds with an average census of 44 patients per day. The unit focuses on cardiac patients with diagnoses including chest pain, myocardial infarction, new onset cardiac arrhythmias, medical overflow, and potential stroke patients. Patient ratios include 1 RN to 4-5 patients and if applicable, 1 LPN to 4-5 patients and 1 CNA to 8-9 patients. Candidates should have cardiac skills and telemetry reading knowledge. General Med-Surg RN skills such as IV starts, drain/tube management, wound care, nasogastric tube placement, and central line management are required. RNs will manage non-titrating cardiac drips, including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and blood products. Support within the department includes CNAs for nursing support, a receptionist/health unit coordinator, a charge nurse, and a resource nurse available as needed. The department has a centralized telemetry monitoring system. Floating will be required within the region and scope of practice as needed. Weekend rotation is every other weekend, and travelers will work 75% of holidays. Request time off can be up to 6 days, excluding holidays. Shift times are 12-hour shifts with a 7 AM start time.
