Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN – Western
North Carolina Start Date: September 22, 2025 Location: Asheville,
North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified
applicants Schedule: Self-scheduling format; 3 weekends per 6-week
schedule; mix of day and night shifts available Highlights: Provide
critical care nursing in a 9-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at a
Magnet-designated facility Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 in PICU;
1:2 to 1:3 in step-down areas Work with Cerner documentation system
and Alaris pump equipment Perform advanced procedures including IV
starts, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring,
trach care, ventilator management, and ICP monitoring Be part of a
Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center recognized
nationally for clinical excellence Opportunity to work within the
region's only children's hospital, providing subspecialty pediatric
care Requirements: Active RN license in North Carolina Minimum 1
year of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience PALS
(Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required Experience
with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and pediatric
critical care procedures Ability to float to Pediatrics and NICU as
