Cardiovascular Progressive Care RN – Western North Carolina Start
Date: December 22, 2025 Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule:
12-hour shifts; minimum 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per
6-week schedule period; no call required Highlights: 40-bed
cardiovascular progressive care unit specializing in CV surgery and
vascular surgery patients Primary patient population includes open
heart surgery, thoracic procedures, vascular interventions, and
medical cardiology overflow 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in a
fast-paced, high-acuity stepdown environment Cerner EMR system;
advanced equipment including Baxter IV pumps and specialized
cardiac monitoring 815-bed regional referral facility recognized
nationally for cardiovascular excellence and quality outcomes
Located in a vibrant mountain community known for arts, culture,
and natural beauty Requirements: Active RN license ACLS and BLS
certifications required Stepdown and telemetry experience required
Post-operative or vascular nursing background strongly required
Prior cardiovascular critical care or CV surgery experience highly
preferred Proficiency in cardiac drip management, chest tube care,
and epidural management Flexibility to float to other stepdown or
