Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Asheville, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,012 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Medical ICU experience in a large facility Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management Ability to think critically Flexibility and teamwork skills Description: This position is located in a unit with 10 beds. Patient ratios are 2:1 in ICU and 4-5:1 in PCU. Staffing on night shift includes 1 Charge RN and 5 Staff RNs. There are no unit secretaries or PCTs available. The charge nurse is out of staffing. The unit is equipped with lift equipment, ventilators, IV pumps, and Targeted Temperature Management (TTM). Documentation is done through a specific system. Shifts are 12 hours with an expectation of every other weekend and holiday support. There are no on-call requirements for this position. Travelers will be required to float as needed. Bedside shift report is mandatory in all areas. Relief charge nurses will perform nurse leader rounding. Key skills needed include ventilator management, critical care pharmacology, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Central line management skills are also required. Assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubations. Uniforms must be navy blue or white scrubs. Please attach unit-specific policies and guidelines when applicable.
