find a qualified PCU RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801! Job
Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Step Down / Med-Surg – North
Carolina Start Date: February 16, 2026 Location: Asheville, North
Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week contract; 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday)
per 6-week period Highlights: Mixed 39-bed unit combining step-down
and medical-surgical patient populations Step-down patient ratio
1:3–4; med-surg ratio 1:4–6 Cerner EMR system utilized throughout
facility Experience with trachs, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable
ventilated patients, and advanced wound care Opportunity to float
to other med-surg and progressive care units for professional
growth Collaborative team environment with dedicated charge nurse
and patient care technician support on every shift Requirements:
Active RN license Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Demonstrated experience working with tracheostomy patients
(required) Current ACLS and BLS certifications Previous experience
