Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Matthews, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,161 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery/Postpartum experience required. License: Must have a valid RN license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP required. Must-Have: Experience with all aspects of Labor & Delivery/Postpartum patient care. Experience in circulating c-sections. Experience with newborn care, including heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring, and lactation support. Experience with decontamination, sterilization, and sterile technique. Description: This RN position focuses on Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care. The facility has 44 licensed beds and is not trauma designated. The average census on the unit is 8 patients with a patient ratio following AWHONN guidelines. The role involves caring for patients undergoing Labor & Delivery and GYN surgical procedures. Support within the department includes one CNA per shift and unit secretarial duties performed by a reception staff. The charge nurse and case manager are present 24/7. OB physicians and a pediatrician are available around the clock. Lactation consultants are also part of the support team. Travelers will be required to float to various facilities within the region as needed, adhering to the scope of practice. Schedulers will ask for weekend rotations every other week. Holiday expectations include working 75% of the holidays. Up to 6 days of time off can be approved, excluding holidays, to maintain contracted hours.
