Locum | Physician General Surgery at CompHealth summary: Locum
physician needed to provide general surgery coverage in a hospital
setting, working Friday–Monday with 24-hour on-call responsibility
and serving approximately five patients per shift. Duties include
inpatient and outpatient rounding, laparoscopic procedures
(appendectomy and cholecystectomy), adult and pediatric surgery,
phone consults, and admissions; call ratio is 1:3 with a low
callback rate. Compensation, housing, travel, malpractice,
credentialing support, and a dedicated recruiter are provided
through the staffing agency. Some locum assignments can be as short
as a day, others, years. Some are far from home, others are local.
