the country. Overview: The Pre-Release Therapist supports
participants as they begin their healing journey. Working within a
correctional facility, you will work alongside a comprehensive care
team to introduce participants to our healing-first approach and
help them begin contemplating their treatment plan. Your role will
involve: Facilitating excellent participant programming: Conducting
impactful group sessions with participants within a correctional
facility Providing frequent, supportive communications to
participants Preparing for sessions in advance to maximize
effectiveness of interactions Evaluating participant progress and
support needed Upholding the quality and fidelity of Concordance
Re-entry Model curriculum when delivering group sessions Building a
bond of trust with participants to ensure smooth transition to
post-release services Communicating with multi-disciplinary care
team and external stakeholders: Documenting sessions in electronic
record system, including noteworthy participant interactions
Working collaboratively with participants’ care teams, providing
input on progress and flagging holistic participant needs When
working within a correctional center, building strong,
professional, positive relationships with prison staff and
administration Participating in internal meetings (Behavioral
Health and Wellness team meetings, All Team meetings, 1:1
supervisor meetings, and training sessions) Skills, Knowledge, and
Expertise The right candidate will come with: Passion for our
mission Ability to resolve conflicts in crisis situations, redirect
and set boundaries, and work with a diverse team Collaborative
attitude and excitement about working in a multi-disciplinary
environment Flexibility and adaptability to work within
correctional facilities Effective communication skills with both
internal and external stakeholders Ability to work independently
Skill in documenting interactions in case notes and flagging
participant needs Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and
compassion in all interactions Required education, licensure, and
experience: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, behavioral
health, or related field Independent clinical license 3-5 years of
experience working in mental health and substance use disorders
Familiarity with and endorsement of 12 step program Ability to pass
DOC security clearance Driver’s license CPR / Adult First Aid
