Job Description Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a
dedicated and skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to
join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible
for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the
evaluation and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong
understanding of medical terminology, proficiency in various
imaging techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced environment. Duties Diagnostic imaging: Performing
imaging studies like angiography (visualization of blood vessels)
to identify blockages, abnormalities, or tumors. Interventional
procedures: Angioplasty: Opening narrowed blood vessels using
balloon catheters Stent placement: Inserting small mesh tubes
(stents) to keep blood vessels open after angioplasty Embolization:
Blocking abnormal blood vessels by injecting substances to stop
bleeding or treat tumors Biopsy: Obtaining tissue samples for
diagnosis by guiding a needle to a specific location with imaging
Drainage procedures: Placing catheters to drain fluid collections
like abscesses or cysts Foreign body removal: Removing foreign
objects from the body using image guidance Patient consultation:
Evaluating patient medical history, discussing procedure risks and
benefits, and obtaining informed consent Procedure planning:
Determining the best approach for each procedure based on imaging
findings and patient anatomy Post-procedure care: Monitoring
patients after procedures and managing potential complications
Requirements Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist
(ARRT or equivalent) Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiology
techniques and medical imaging practices. Familiarity with nuclear
medicine is preferred but not required. Experience working in an
emergency medicine setting is advantageous. Ability to perform
diagnostic evaluations efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with
patients, families, and healthcare staff. Commitment to maintaining
