Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Acute Inpatient) Location: Columbia, Missouri Shift: Nights Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Length: 13 Weeks Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment on a 32-bed Medical Specialties / Acute Inpatient unit. This unit treats a wide range of general medical conditions and requires nurses who are comfortable managing multiple medications while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety. Unit Details: - Unit Type: General Medical / Acute Inpatient - Beds: 32 - Patient Ratio: Nights 1:6 (not guaranteed) - Nurses may be required to take up to 8 patients when needed Required Skills: - IV Insertion - CPAP / BiPAP Management - Feeding Tube Care - Wound Vac Management Preferred Skills: - PICC / Central Line Management - Vascular Device Care - Dialysis Fistula Care / Management - PCA / Epidural Pump Experience Requirements: - Experienced Med-Surg RN required - First-time travelers will not be considered - Must be willing to float to other Med-Surg units when required - Must be willing to take up to 8 patients when needed - Current CEU documentation required during the interview Additional Information: - Travelers may be downstaffed up to 36–48 hours during a 13-week contract depending on weekly scheduling needs - Quick start available Experienced Medical Surgical Travel RNs are encouraged to apply.
