Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is
working with TalentBurst, Inc. to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op
RN in Lexington, North Carolina, 27292! Primary Purpose The
Registered Nurse – Resource Team provides comprehensive nursing
care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes
identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in
accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or
protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. The RN
Clinical Nurse/RT assists in maintaining a safe work environment
and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The
Registered Nurse – Resource Team maintains clinical and
professional competency as appropriate to the population of
patients served. Must be available to provide nursing services in
all patient care areas of expertise and knowledge, at all elected
facilities. A registered nurse's practice is guided by the ANA Code
of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements. Major
Responsibilities Collects pertinent data and information relative
to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation. Analyzes the
assessment data to determine the actual or potential diagnoses,
problem, and issues. Identifies expected outcomes for a plan
individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected,
measurable outcomes. Implements the identified plan, coordinates
care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe
environment. Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare
workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy
parameters or principles. Evaluates progress toward attainment of
goals and outcomes. Practices ethically. Practices in a manner that
is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
Communicates effectively in all areas of practice. Collaborates
with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct
of nursing practice. Leads within the professional practice setting

Designated Teaching hospital with residents Not a Chest Pain Center
Unit Information: Beds: 10 PACU bays Average patients/day: 400
cases/month Minimum Years of Experience required: 3 years of PACU
experience Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Patient
Types/Common Diagnoses: Ortho (total joints, sports medicine),
general, urology, DaVinci, GYN, ENT, Peds (dental), podiatry, scar
revisions Regional anesthesia, blocks No spine, cardiothoracic,
cranial, or high-level surgeries Patient Ratios: 1:1-2, depending
on case and acuity Required License, National Certification, Certs:
BLS, ACLS, PALS Skills required: Experience with above patient
types Phase I recovery of general anesthesia, MAC anesthesia,
moderate sedation. If phase 2 is backed up, could be doing phase 2
recovery and discharge in Phase I. Could scrub in and gown up for
the OR and help hold a retractor or a camera. Will not need to act
as circulating OR RN but could just assist with this portion. This
could happen on call-back. EPIC Experience Support within the
Department: OR Assistant might be able to help with transport, but
no CNA OR Charge RN, no PACU Charge RN Management available during
the day 4-5 RNs for PACU Phlebotomy RT 24/7 Hospitalist 24/7
Anesthesiologists/CRNAs Surgeons Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC –
required IV Pump: Alaris Med dispensing: Omnicell Floating: No
Orientation (facility and unit): NEO 1 week Scheduling: Weekend
rotation: Every 5th-6th weekend, call only. Saturday 0700 – Monday
0700 On call: Yes (1 weeknight per week, 1700-0700, 30-minute
response, no sleep rooms) Holiday Expectations: 1-2 holidays per
year, call only Approval of RTO: to go through manager Shift times:
10h Days, 0730-1800. Will have a rotating day off Schedule cycle:
