Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in
Asheville, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements -
Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start
Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12
hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel
or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2
years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates
must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension
upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral
bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work on
20-bed progressive care unit (D2) serving as inpatient overflow
with mixed level of care • Treat medical surgical and/or step-down
patients with short stay ( • Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 stretch
depending on level of care • Every other weekend required, no call
responsibilities • Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2
CNAs • Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs • Use
telemetry equipment with all patients hardwired to bedside monitors
when indicated • Work with Cerner EMR system • Required to float to
other units as needed • Must have telemetry competency and
progressive care experience • Recent progressive care experience
preferred • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Dress code:
Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white • Ideal candidate has
positive attitude, patient experience focused, kind, compassionate,
and works well as team player • Handle quick turnover of patients
with various progressive care needs Facility: This healthcare
