Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Winston Salem, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,494 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cardiology License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation experience - Post-procedural cardiac care experience, specifically in titrating medications such as Argatroban, Digoxin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Dofetilide, Dopamine, Esmolol, Lasix, Insulin, Labetalol, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Nicardipine, Nitroglycerin, Sotalol, Tirofiban Description: Registered Nurse position in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit consists of 28 beds with an average census of 26. Patient types include those with Acute Coronary Syndrome, Heart Failure, NSTEMI/STEMI, and Chest Pain. Post-cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI or without stent. Management of arrhythmias and vascular conditions such as Peripheral Artery Disease and DVT/PE. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5. CNA support is available for obtaining vital signs and providing assistance with activities of daily living. Charge nurse role may or may not have patient assignments. Phlebotomy services are available for peripheral blood draws. Respiratory therapy support is available 24/7. Hospitalist and intensivist services are also available around the clock. Nurses are responsible for monitoring telemetry and verifying strips once per shift. Technological support includes an electronic medical record system and various monitoring and medication dispensing equipment. Floating is primarily within the cardiology division and may extend to medical-surgical units as needed. The unit fosters a family atmosphere with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
