9 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the
Position Join Jackson HealthPros as an experienced Mammo Tech for
an exciting travel assignment. In this role, you will perform
specialized examinations of the breast to assist in diagnosis and
treatment of breast disease for an area hospital in Asheville, NC.
Minimum Requirements: Current American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) Mammography (M) certification required.
Current ARRT (R) registration required. Must meet MQSA
documentation standards: initial 40 hours of mammography training,
current continuing education for mammography, documented
mammography volume (200 exams/2 years), 8 hours digital mammography
training, and 8 hours digital tomosynthesis training. Missing
documentation will require onsite training before performing
mammograms. BLS certification required. Screening mammography
experience required. Competent in additional imaging views
including magnification and spot compression. Experience with
advanced mammography imaging and ability to present complicated
mammographic cases to radiologists. Experience with women’s
imaging, including care for patients with history of cancer,
lumpectomy, chemotherapy, or radiation. Experience with equipment
and systems used on unit preferred: GE Senographe Pristina, Cerner,
PenRad. IV certification and competency in invasive and sterile
procedures preferred. Experience performing or assisting with
stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical localizations, or Contrast
Enhanced Mammography preferred. Ability to follow unit dress code:
pink top and black pants. Assignment Details Facility type:
Hospital, Mission Breast Center (Breast Imaging). Shift: Days.
Shift hours: 07:30–17:00. Typical patient volume: average 38
screening mammograms per day; 18 diagnostic per day. Unit staffing:
large breast center with approximately 10 techs on site per day.
Equipment: GE Senographe Pristina. Documentation systems: Cerner
and PenRad. Scheduling requirements: Monday–Friday 09:00–17:30;
Saturdays as needed (staffing may include weekend coverage).
Floating: Required to float to other breast centers if needed.
