Job DescriptionDuties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for making sure that customers have access to the merchandise they are looking for by organizing product displays and storage.
• Replenishes inventory in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
• Straighten shelf inventory so labels face out and merchandise is neat, orderly and is easy to shop.
• Checks condition and prices of stock on shelf as stock is being replenished. Rotates older stock the front of the shelf.
• Marks identifying codes, figures, price tags or letters on merchandise
• Move, handle, and transport finished products, material, or supplies to other departments by utilizing hand jacks, lift carts, and other means of transportation
• Provide customer service while working in a visible space on the floor
• Determines methods of storage, identification and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
• Maintains inventory and other stock records.
• Load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards (including backroom and shelves), and dispose of trash
• Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing them with information
• Any and all other duties assigned by managementQualifications & Education Requirements
  • Effective time management
  • Background with agricultural products and environment helpful
  • Previous retail experience helpful but not required
  • Must have reliable transportation to work
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills a plus
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to stand for long hours and be able to lift heavy merchandise
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environmentAdditional Notes
    • This position reports directly to the store manager but will receive instruction from leads, training coordinator, and other store management.
    • The environment of this position is a retail warehouse, there will be dust and dirt due to the products we sell
    • Hours can vary depending on shifts assigned but mainly this job is 2p-10p
