Job Description:

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Network Architect with our client located in Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage robust and scalable network architectures to meet current and future business needs Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations Architect, configure, and maintain firewall infrastructure to enforce security policies and protect against cyber threats Implement and manage network security measures, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and access controls Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the OSI model and its application in network design and troubleshooting Plan, implement, and support core network services, including DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) Design, deploy, and manage cloud network connectivity Design, implement, support and mature secure cloud architecture selecting appropriate cloud services and configurations to minimize vulnerabilities Implement cloud data protection measures Monitor and mitigate security threats Ensure compliance with regulations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and business applications Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations for infrastructure improvements and enhancements Provide technical guidance and mentorship Participate in on-call rotation as needed to support critical network infrastructure Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture roles Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues across various layers of the OSI model Strong understanding and hands-on experience managing and configuring firewall technologies Solid foundation in network security principles and best practices In-depth knowledge and practical experience with DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions Experience designing and managing network infrastructure within Microsoft Azure Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Desired skills: Experience with the Fortinet suite of products (e.g., FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate) Certified Cloud Engineer Industry recognized information security certifications such as CISSP or CCSP If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
