In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing our SQL databases that form the backbone of our innovative financial solutions. By joining our IT team, you will contribute directly to projects that enhance financial security for thousands of customers across the nation. Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required Organize, install, and test new versions of the DBMS Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to critical production systems Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems when necessary Proven expertise in SQL Server and other databases Strong understanding of SQL database design and architecture Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations Good communication and documentation skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administration certification Additional certifications in database management or related fields are a plus
