Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help to enhance the Company brand via external channels like social media marketing and other marketing initiatives that illustrate and embody the Company culture, mission and story
  • Provide input to creatively engage employees using multiple internal channels to communicate events, marketing initiatives, campus happenings and general company news
  • Assist in the execution and creation of content on the digital signage platform, BrightSign; seeking out relevant company news to share internally
  • Assist in the preparation of communications to key stakeholders (employees, public officials, etc.) to communicate pertinent issues that impact the Company
  • Write and provide feedback on corporate press releases, talking points, and other public corporate communications, ensuring that public statements are consistent with the Company`s Mission
  • Assist in coordinating local media relations and social media for Company activities, programs and corporate events
  • Assist Corporate Affairs team with internal and external event planning
  • Assist Events Specialist with ongoing internal events (Bible Study, Lunch and Learns, 4:10 Initiative)
  • Assist the VP, Corporate Affairs with the development of communication pieces relating to public policies that impact the Company`s Mission and/or employees at the federal, state and local levels that create positive interactions with elected officials and external opinion leaders
  • Communicate effectively with Corporate Affairs team members and other departments within the organization, and function within a team environment
  • Participate in cross-training in other areas of the Corporate Affairs team
  • Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives.

  • Regular attendance is required. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements:
    • Bachelor`s degree in communication, marketing or related field
    • Experience in public affairs, communication, and/or marketing is a plus
    • Knowledge of corporate communications and reputation management
    • Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders geared toward the Company`s Mission
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to form and maintain professional working relationships with a diverse group of individuals
    • Strong, proven written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to organize and manage projects in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, visible, deadline-oriented environment
    • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize quickly
    • Ability to multi-task and produce quality materials under strict deadlines
    • Understands federal, state and local political issues and is knowledgeable about key players
    • Understanding of the media and ability to develop and successfully place media stories, releases, op-eds, and other corporate communication
    • Has excellent and efficient working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Adobe programs Education:
      University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
