Description:GENERAL SUMMARY:Primary function is to monitor the
machine operator process while producing a wide variety of product
mixes as per order specification and report any machinery
inconsistencies to the Supervisor, Shift Lead and/or Manager. Meet
production demands while maintaining Darnel safety & quality
standards in all aspects of job performance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:01. Set-up/start-up machines and make process
adjustments as required meeting or exceeding production standards
for the shift.02. Record and monitor line settings and react
quickly to any process changes in order to avoid major line
disruptions.03. Ensure quality of the product by use of calipers,
scales, micrometers and/or other measurement devices or
equipment.04. Properly label, palletize and stage finished
product.05. Operate forklift to prepare, maintain and retrieve raw
materials while ensuring proper set-up for the next shift.06.
Direct and communicate with packers, material handlers, assistant
operators and maintenance during product changeovers. Provides
detailed instructions to in-coming shift at shift change over.07.
Report any machinery problems to the Lead Operator/Supervisor or
Manager and communicate with maintenance the required machine
repairs.08. Prepare and complete quality control paperwork,
production tracking and use the scan gun to report production and
consume rolls, where applicableNON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:09. Maintain good housekeeping on machines,
floors, trash cans and waste according to AIB requirements.10.
Cross-training on all equipment, i.e. un-winders, ovens, molds,
trim presses, grinders, tape machines, etc.11. Provides teamwork by
assisting in other departments as needed.12. Perform any other
assigned duties or tasks requested by management.PHYSICALS
DEMANDS:01. Vision correctable to 20/20.02. Lifting up to 55 lbs.
from floor to waist high.03. Frequent bending and stooping.04.
Frequent standing the majority of the 12-hour shift.05. Use a
utility knife following prescribed safety regulations.WORKING
CONDITIONS:Lighting is good and temperatures will be hot in summer
and cold in the winter. Earplugs, eye protection, steel toed shoes
and hair nets are required in the production area. Gloves,
face-shield and other various types of protective equipment must be
worn when working around the ovens.Requirements:01. High school
diploma or equivalent.02. Read, write and have a good command of
the English language, both written and spoken and perform simple
math.03. Must be able to read and use measurement instruments.04.
Requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations
where standards and recognized operation methods are available and
the making of general decisions regarding quality, set up and
tolerances.05. Forklift certification required.06. Must be able to
