The Role:

  • Drive a pro-active process, to do the right things in the right way
    • Map & constantly review our Knowledge base of the best production process required by commodity, to ensure the required quality level.
    • Participate in supplier market screening and auditing potential suppliers, in close relationship with Sourcing, Engineering & Manufacturing, using advanced tools like PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, MSA, iAuditor, ...
    • Own the Quality agreement: approved supplier production process, Poke Yoke and their effectiveness, Capability Studies (MSA) where applicable, Gauge R&R where applicable, Root Cause Analysis, Implementation of Corrective Actions, Containment Actions and risks to supplier associated with nonconforming product, all in support of eliminating issues in serial production subject to penalties.
    • Execute supplier audit to enforce that the Quality agreement, And update the risk associated with the supplier.
    • Track the Supplier Quality KPI : level & trends to set targets and determine if escalation is necessary eg. Formal warning (Letter/Email) requesting corrective actions, increased inspection, CSL1 or 2, new business hold and possible removal from sourcing list.
    • Active member of the NPD process, to Qualify new parts/suppliers in due time
      • Select appropriated suppliers for the project
      • Define & share a schedule of new parts to be qualified
      • Use PPAP (Production Part Approval Procedure)
      • Suggest Innovation, with the aid of suppliers
      • Define the Quality Control process for detection of defective parts
      • Coordinate the phase in/out of parts, with cut-off dates/Serial number
      • Establish safety net for tool moves and problem suppliers to mitigate risk
      • Contribute to a Kaizen & Innovation Process
        • Bring suppliers to the partnership level
        • Learn and share Best Practices
        • Benchmark competition and market technology trends to bring new way of working that could increase Quality and Cost leadership
        • Networking within the industry and AC locations to increase the level of expertise.
        • Promote Build-in Quality (supplier Poka-Yoke, Fabrication w/o measurement ...)
          • Contribute in PTM & TCM teams to improve Quality and Cost
          • Support the Quality Control Team during escalation phases with suppliers.

              • Mechanical Engineer, with expertise in Geometrical Dimensions & Tolerances
              • 10+ years' experience in Quality Assurance of mechanical parts handling
              • Technical knowledge on compressor, engine, cooler, electric panel is a benefit
              • Good understanding of the supplier and manufacturing process of sheet metal, fabrication, powder coating, casting, machining,... and technology trends
              • Knowledge in IMS, Quality concept (6sigma, SPC, Cpk, 5S, FMEA, 8D ...) & Safety
              • Green-Black Belt certified preferred
              • ISO Auditor certified preferred
              • Experience in New Product Development
              • Exposure to international company environment
              • Fluent in English, Use of IT tools
