Description
Position Summary:Responsible for welding and assembling custom curbs in a timely manner while maintaining CDI quality standards.Essential Functions:Read and analyze engineering drawings and design specifications to plan layout and assembly of finished unitsOperate and maintain welder machine to make product to specificationsAssemble curb to specificationsOperate the folding machine, shear, chop saw and iron worker to make productMeasure work piece and verify dimensions to specificationsUse work orders and job schedules to prioritize workKeeping work space clean and organizedMaintaining good attendanceOther duties as assigned
Requirements
Performance Measures: Good Attendance Productivity Accuracy Number of quality issues Inches per minute - Shell TextExperience:Basic reading, writing, arithmetic skills required. This is typically acquired with a High School diploma or GED.Combination of trade school and/or 2 years practical experienceAbility to weld or tack metal parts togetherAbility to read blueprintsLayout, position brace and secure parts within the unitsExamine units for defects and measure units to ensure conformanceWorking Condition/Physical Demands:Ability to stand or walk for extended amounts of timeAbility to frequently bend, twist, grip , squat and liftAbility to lift 75 pounds occasionally
