Role and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations
Drive production output targets, support continuous improvement, manage assets capacity/ flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards
Utilize existing and develop new tools as needed track and optimise productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
Promote a culture of 'right first time' manufacture in a high paced, technologically advanced environment
Recruit, manage and develop employees in many areas of production (maintain a skills matrix across the team, identifying training / coaching requirements)
Responsibility for P&L, production output, product quality and on-time shipping
Provide a clear sense of direction and focus for the team to complete business objectives
Commitment to Health and Safety procedures as well as a Key Member of Safety Committee
Maintain governance to ensure business processes, quality procedures and work instructions are adhered to in order to retain our AS9100 and NADCAP approvals
To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager on a permanent/temporary basis.

Requirements

Skills/ Requirements:
At least 10 years experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility and proven effective cross-functional leadership
Demonstrates strong leadership, team building and coaching skills
Ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills
Lead by example to create accountability within the team
Excellent decision-making and people management skills
Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
Working knowledge of Value Stream support systems; Business Development, NPI, ERP/MRP, QA, etc---
Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools
Demonstration of drive to meet or exceed agreed improvement goals / targets
Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies
Strong technical understanding of complex technologies with practical experience of state-of-the art machining processes and equipment
Proven project management and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Enthusiasm, discipline and drive to succeed to achieve significant results
ERP/MRP experience
Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to drive production needs by working directly with other managers in areas of Engineering, Quality and Maintenance.
Previous experience/strong understanding of budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.
Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyse data and trends.
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in in Business Management, Electronics, Engineering or related field (or relevant experience)
US Citizen or existing Green Card Holder due to our customer facilities access requirements.
