Job Description American & Efird (A&E) is hiring for a 3rd--Shift Lab Technician. We are seeking enthusiastic team members with great work history and the ability to pass a background and drug test for our fast-paced manufacturing operations. These positions are regularly scheduled for Monday - Friday, and may require overtime and weekends. Summary: Dye Lab Technician is responsible for producing thread for color submission by dyeing, weighing and calculating color formulas.-- Also responsible for general housekeeping as needed. Reports To: LabManager Duties and Responsibilities: -- ---- Winding skeins. ---- Re-stocking dyes and chemicals in the jars and bottles. ---- Winding 70, 150, 200 gram packages. ---- Dry the thread on Theis machines, 74-81 and Theis 70 - 73, and Fongs machines. ---- Calculate formulas ---- Weigh dyes and chemicals ---- General housekeeping. ---- Run Dye machines 70 - 81 & Fongs 1,2,3,4,5,6, and flainox. ---- Take textured yarn to receiving to be pressed. ---- Crimp dye tubes before dyeing ---- Always wear appropriate PPE according to task being performed. ---- Dye 10 g skeins on the IR machine ---- Schedule Dye lots using adaptive screen ---- Complete Machine safety - pressure vessel ---- Any other task that is needed to service our customers ---- Work under pressure and keep up with machines ---- Understand formulas and be able to follow them. ---- Know and understand machine procedures---------------------- Safety:-- Follows all Company Safety Policies.
