Job Description:
Position Summary:DiscoverFresh Foods is a leader in the ready to
eat & bakery manufacturing industry. In addition to our own line of

Brand, and co-pack clients across the US and the world. Our

to join our growing team to support our efforts.The Quality Control
Technician role will select equipment and areas for tests at
specified stages in the sanitation and production process and will
review and supply reports to appropriate personnel for evaluation
(ATP swabs); Record test data and results, applying established
quality control procedures; Monitor overall on-line quality and
food safety systems including all Critical Control Points (CCP) as
per HACCP plan;Main Responsibilities/Duties:Maintains retain
samples for finished goods and raw materials.Collects, reviews, and
maintains files of all documentation relating to production and
quality control.Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or
indicate deviations from existing standards.Prepares graphs or
charts of data or enters data into computer for
analysis.Responsible for collecting quality data and running
analysis of the product.Assist in preparations of all 3rd party
audits including AIB GMP, Regulatory, Customer (SQMS), GFSI
certification assessments, etc.Train personnel on GMP, HACCP,
Allergen control and all other pertinent Quality systems if
practices are not followed.Monitor production, raw materials, and
finished product for Quality deviations and report non-conformances
to superior(s).Monitor Production throughout the shift for raw
material lot numbers and lot tracking accuracy.Check raw materials
received against product specification and release product if
attributes are within specification.Monitor thawing process.1st
shift approximate work hours will be 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, M-Th, with
infrequent work on Friday.2nd shift approximate work hours will be
5:00 PM to 3:30 AM, M-Th, with infrequent work on Friday.Monitor
GMP s during production.Quality hand, machine, cake batter checks
(weights, temperatures, visual).Verification of outgoing codes
(sell by date) on both unit and case.Responsible for metal detector
verification & contamination log.Sanitation verification (atp swab
& allergen swab)Internal auditing allergen control /
temperatures.Incoming allergen, temperature verification, &
continuous monitoring.Shelf life studies (y/m and aerobic plating;
sensory analysis).Assist with Recall data (incoming & outgoing)
goods.Creating and implementing USDA/FDA HACCP plans (HACCP
certified).Knowledgeable in SQF audit process.Education:Bachelor s
Degree in Food Science, related field or relative experience.Level

activities to include but not limited to production machinery,
assembly operations, and forklift traffic. The employee will be
required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure
to workplace hazards.Mental Demands: While performing the duties of
this class, the employee is regularly required to use written and
