Job Description:
Project Manager - Construction
Expanding regional specialized construction company is seeking a
Project Manager to add to their team. The Individual responsible
for ensuring the company proposed product, designed and desired by
our customer, is delivered effectively and accurately in respect to
the application and needs of our customer. This person will handle
40 - 50 small specialized projects in this specialized construction
field.
This is a Direct Hire position paying $60,000 - $90,000 salary
based on experience with excellent benefits in South Charlotte
Responsibilities Include:
Order processing and entry into company accounting system and
files.
Maintain company protocol to protect our interest and communicate
procedural requirements to our customer.
Management of the submittal process:
o Generate clear and accurate submittals
o Process architect and general contractor responses and
requests.
Assist in the contract review process, specifically focusing on
scope of work responsibilities the company is expected to
provide.
Examine project documents and field conditions for conflicts with
our proposed products. Also observe any opportunities to alter or
upgrade the proposed product in order to better serve our
customer's needs.
o Communicate any observed conflicts, alterations, or upgrades via
the proper construction document communication method (RFI) in a
timely manner
Coordinate onsite preparation of openings and installation
locations based on our product requirements.
o At times this includes field visits to job sites.
Act as the liaison between our manufacturers and the company for
purchasing products, product reports, submittals, as-built shop
drawings, etc.
Create purchase orders for products to our manufacturers.
Thoroughly check order acknowledgement for accuracy in a timely
manner and report any discrepancies.
Process and prepare change order documentation, including internal
company paperwork and project documents required to communicate
changes to our scope of work
Prepare all documentation required for effective coordination and
installation of our product (i.e. shop drawings, special jobsite
instructions, etc.)
Communicate to responsible parties within the company for
performing our installation in compliance with the project
schedule.
Maintain accurate shop drawings that reflect the current field
conditions.
Coordinate any onsite set up or adjustments required after
installation is complete (i.e. electrical wiring, etc).
Gather and submit required close out documentation for the
project
Document all communications in order to maintain a written history
of project progress, expectations, and promises.
Maintain a high level of customer service for our company;
effective project management that meets the needs of our customers
and exceeds their expectation will gain future work.
