Distribution & Logistics Specialist - 1st ShiftLeading chemical manufacturing company is looking a Distribution and Logisitics Specialist in Rock Hill, SC for their growing team. This is a temp to hire position!Pay Rate of the Distribution & Logistics Specialist:$21/HRResponsibilities of the Distribution & Logistics Specialist:ShippingExecutes shipping and receiving functions for off-line warehouses as a backup to the Logistics Specialist.Assist with the fulfillment of orders to include: training and resolution of problems.Provides backup to arrange expedite freight shipments as needed. Monitors cost and performance.Serves as a backup to file claims with freight carriers when necessary.Communicate with Manufacturing, Purchasing and Customer Service.Determine method for auditing staged loads of chemistry for inventory accuracy.Ensure safe efficient loading of trucks and verify documentation and placarding of truck if required before vehicle leaves the premises to ensure regulatory compliance.Organize all end-of-day paperwork and reports.ReceivingAssist as needed, in the unloading of delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.Schedule inbound freight for receiving associates.WarehouseOrganize the safe compliant storage of all goods into assigned locations and maintain accurate location markers.Maintain efficient storage of totes and record their individual usage. Arrange for retest or bottle replacement when necessary.Audit staged chemistry through execution of the method for inventory accuracy.Identify and implement any special shipping requirements that may apply where necessary.Arrange and monitor regular maintenance of equipment such as lift-trucks, shipping docks, stretch-wrapper, etc.Requirements of the Distribution & Logistics Specialist:High School degree or equivalent required. 2 year degree preferredMust possess forklift driving license and be able to deal with heavy loads in a safe and correct mannerAbility to obtain and maintain multimodal certificationMust possess the ability to make responsible decisions Distribution & Logistics Specialists apply today!
