family-oriented culture. Position Overview The Territory Manager
for Landscape & Grounds is responsible for the performance of the
outside sales for their assigned accounts and management of the
selling activities of STI LPG Account Executives assigned to them.
This position is to be based in the Greensboro, North Carolina
market and is responsible for the entire state of North Carolina.
What You’ll Do The central focus for all selling activities by the
Territory Manager and Account Executives is increased market share
and sales/growth for STI. The primary targets of these selling
activities are assigned accounts- contracting companies who install
residential/commercial landscape, irrigation systems, lighting
systems, water gardens, drainage systems, and fountains. ·
Achieving Sales Growth Goals: Attain the sales growth objectives
for your assigned key accounts. Ensure that your sales team attains
the sales growth objectives for their assigned accounts. Execute
all initiatives designed to develop growth of market share in your
territory. Utilize sales data and metrics to hold your team
accountable to achieving growth. Deploy and execute all applicable
promotions in concert with branch initiatives. Develop a
high-resolution vision of the project activity in your territory
and ensure that your team is engaged, targeted and in pursuit of
all opportunities. · Be a Team Builder: Coach, develop and groom
your team for growth and development. Recruit and seek out the best
and most talented team prospects available in your territory.
Identify team members’ strengths and weaknesses and proactively
coach them to encourage and develop their personal and professional
growth goals. Develop a team culture that shares and helps other
team members. · Deliver Real Solutions to our Customers: Your
team’s business acumen, resources and technical knowledge will
deliver real and effective solutions for the customers in your
territory to ensure their success. Constant communication and
relationship development with all customers and influencers to help
gauge market activity, customer satisfaction levels and branch
performance success. Ensure your team is a resource and solution
provider for our customers. · Market Participation and Engagement:
Participate in local, state and regional associations to create a
positive presence in the marketplace. Attends all relevant sales
and product training sessions to improve sales skills and technical
knowledge to achieve personal and company objectives. Skills We Are
Seeking · Degree in Business / Management discipline or relevant
green industry experience preferred Strong negotiation and selling
skills · 4 or more years of managerial experience including
leadership, recruitment, issue resolution, team motivation and team
building preferred · 4 to 7 years of experience in landscape and
irrigation industry preferred · Outstanding communication in all
forms, leadership skills · Understand and can execute strategic
sales plans · Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, such
as debits, credits, accounts receivable/payable and budgets ·
Expert level knowledge of irrigation, landscape lighting, central
control systems, drainage and landscape products and practices ·
Industry professional/technical certifications a plus (i.e. CID,
CLIA, CIC) · Excellent understanding of product inventory
management · Overnight travel requirement: Mostly constrained to be
within the State of North Carolina and estimated to be less than
