Overview: Join Novant Health as an Echocardiographer Location: Elkin, NC Department: Cardiology Clinic Employment Type: Full Time M-F 8am-4:30pm About the Role As an Echocardiographer at Novant Health, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality cardiac imaging services. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care. In this role, you will: - Perform a variety of echocardiographic procedures, including transthoracic and stress echocardiograms. - Analyze and interpret hemodynamic data to assist in clinical decision-making. - Collaborate closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Maintain and operate echocardiography equipment, ensuring optimal functionality. - Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in all procedures. Qualifications Education & Experience: - High School Diploma or GED required. - Associate Degree in a related field preferred. - Graduate of a formal Cardiovascular Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred. - Two years of echocardiography experience preferred. Certifications: - Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS) required. - New graduates must obtain registry within six months of hire. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Skills & Abilities: - Proficiency in performing and interpreting echocardiographic studies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
