Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatrics Location: Winston Salem, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,766 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27157! Job Title: RN - PEDS Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology acute care or 1 year in pediatric acute care. License: BLS, PALS preferred, APHON required for chemotherapy certification. Certifications: Required certifications mentioned above. Must-Have: Strong pediatric background, central line management, chemotherapy administration, strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in pediatrics. The unit consists of beds specifically for pediatric hematology and oncology patients, as well as patients with general adolescent medicine needs. The average daily patient load ranges from 14 to 32 patients. Patient ratios are 1 RN to 3-4 patients for Hematology/Oncology and 1 RN to 4-5 patients for Adolescent Medicine. CNA support is available with a ratio of 1 CNA to 6-16 patients. The role includes responsibilities such as managing central lines and administering chemotherapy. Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills are essential for this role. Support from the department includes CNAs, receptionist, charge nurse, phlebotomist, and an IV/VAT team for challenging peripheral access. Additionally, resource nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists are available 24/7. There is bedside telemetry monitoring; however, a telemetry technician is not available.
